Money Mart Launches Their mPower Program with Beanstream Powered Transactional Services.

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - November 28th, 2004

Beanstream Internet Commerce Inc announces that it has developed a customized transaction solution to drive Money Mart's new Mpower service. The Mpower service allows Money Mart clients to purchase goods and services from retailers using Money Mart branded card and loan products.

"Money Mart's Mpower program proved to be an interesting challenge", said Craig Thomson, President of Beanstream. "Money Mart needed a solution that would allow them to service vendors without having to do a separate integration for each application. We solved this problem by developing a software switch that allowed the existing vendor infrastructure to communicate with the Money Mart platform. Vendors and Money Mart can also leverage Beanstream's extensive backoffice reporting and administration tools and easily scale to address new service and vendor offerings."

"Beanstream has been able to provide us with a turnkey system for the Mpower program," said Ron Ingram, Director of Business Development at Money Mart. "We had to make only a minor change to our point-of-sale software to accommodate this new system. Other than the change to our point-of-sale software everything else is being handled by Beanstream. They have provided us with the tools to simply add merchants to our program and to monitor the status of all the purchases being fulfilled by our Mpower merchants. We could not have completed this project in the necessary time without the assistance of Beanstream."
