Job Posting: Quality Assurance Analyst
backPosition Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst's main role is to design, execute, and document test cases, record the test case results, and document and track associated defects, ensuring that the company's products are released with the highest quality. This includes application of appropriate test analysis and design methods as efficiently as possible while meeting the release schedule timelines. The Quality Assurance Analyst is the main user of the functional and technical specification final documents in developing test scenarios addressing both aspects of the product, technical and business. This phase of the product development holds the key to the company's product lifecycle management efficiency and the corporate external image. The growing and changing business activities of Beanstream drive the need for continuous interpretation and change management. The Quality Assurance Analyst may also be assigned other activities at the discretion of management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop, execute and document test cases scenarios and scripts with the objective of obtaining as much test coverage as possible with a minimum set of test cases, providing a level of confidence and transparency to the management team.
- Maintain and enhance existing automated testing framework.
- Record, manage and monitor software defects resulting from test scenarios, ensuring they are rectified in a timely manner and in line with the established product release schedule.
- Keep abreast of and identify emerging trends related to best practices, methodologies and processes within the field to ensure that business strategies are aligned with the operational environment.

- Must have knowledge of QA methodologies and processes
- Highly motivated, with a positive attitude and energy

- Able to generate respect from various internal and external stakeholder groups

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience writing and executing test cases, using bug tracking software and applying QA methodologies in all aspects of testing
- Experience reading, interpreting and functional requirements
- Detail oriented
- Experienced writing test cases with minimal documentation
- Previous experience working with a payment or web technology related services industry
- Financial industry experience considered an asset
- Some experience with JAVA, VB, ASP, and scripting, HTML, XML, API's, SQL
