The Challenge

Beanstream provides online payment and authentication services to more than 7000 merchants across Canada and the US. We manage software and systems in a dynamic, non-stop environment requiring strong attention to detail and a high motivation to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Answering questions, fulfilling requests and resolving issues via inbound calls and email to our call centre. Provide first level response for general customer service, application and sales inquiries and new client integrations.
  • Provide integration and technical assistance to merchants deploying Beanstream payment solutions.
  • Thorough knowledge of Beanstream products and services and ability to consistently learn new procedures.
  • Document all contacts in internal systems
  • Work with support team to implement standards and process improvements.
  • Attend and contribute to departmental team meetings.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking practices and credit card functionality is required.
  • Online payments and shopping cart knowledge considered an asset.
  • PHP, ASP and other programming languages also an asset.

Technical Essentials:

3 years or more experience in:

  • Customer Service/Technical Support, preferably in a call centre environment.
  • A banking environment or a strong knowledge of general banking and credit card principles.

Educational Experience:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Some college or university is preferred.

Other Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  • Persuasive, able to evaluate alternatives and take appropriate action.
  • Self-directed and proactive.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Fully fluent in French for both oral and written communication.
