Beanstream is pleased to provide a complete selection of card association products developed to reduce the risk of credit card fraud in card not present environments. Each of these services can be purchased as a stand alone tool or can be integrated with Beanstream's payment processing services.

American Express Lockit
LockIt enables secure Internet purchases to be made at merchants' websites using an EMV - enabled American Express chip card. The EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) standard is a new platform designed to replace the magnetic strip cards with a more secure microchip standard. Over time both credit cards and merchant terminals will be replaced with new EMV standard cards and devices.

In addition to protecting merchants against fraud, LockIt also ensures that consumer credit card information is kept confidential. Maintained exclusively on American Express servers, credit card information is not available to merchants using LockIT thus benefiting both consumers and businesses with this added security feature.

Verified by Visa
Verified by Visa enables consumers to shop securely and with confidence. Through the simple Verified by Visa password verification process, VISA cardholders' identities are confirmed in real-time during checkout by the cardholder's financial institution. And since Verified by Visa addresses a key concern of online protection, it can enhance your reputation as a safe shopping site and turn the “e-browser” into a loyal, repeat purchaser. 

Unlike other services that promise online security, Verified by Visa allows the consumer to initiate the authentication process. Online shoppers don't have to install special software, so it maintains a simple and painless shopping experience. Once customers register for their passwords with their participating VISA financial institution, they can begin shopping almost immediately. And because Verified by Visa is a global service, merchants can accept orders from Canada and around the world with confidence.

Mastercard Securecode
Mastercard Securecode leverages the same technical infrastructure as Verified by Visa to reduce the risk that the merchant faces due to cardholder not present transactions. Beanstream has integrated both Verified by Visa and Mastercard Securecode into a single payment platform for ease of merchant integration.
